Empyrea Crafting Quest: Revered Crafting

Empyrea Crafting Quest:
Revered Crafting

There are 2 all new ranks in Crafting: Visionary Crafter and Revered Crafter. Visionary crafting is the usual crafting quest you need to progress, however Revered Crafter is for those of you seeking a real challenge!

1. Legendary Tomfoolery

Librarian Fitzhume will give you the quest “Legendary Tomfoolery” and direct you to Ignus. Ignus will require you to craft a wand. It looks like every school has a different wand to craft, with different ingredients. As a Balance, I got to craft Jaki’s Legendary Bow. Here’s a link to the quest dialog.

This first quest isn’t very difficult. The three most difficult ingredients are perhaps the 25 Antiquities, the Stardust and the Vines that every recipe requires.

2. Hi-Yo Silver Chest!

Once you craft the legendary wand, Ignus will give you a new quest to improve this item. He gives you a quest called “Hi-Yo Silver Chest!” For it, you will use the wand from the first quest in the recipe for the second quest! Quite cool! We’ve had something like that before in Aquila, but here it seems actually useful, because the second wand (see picture of stats here) you craft will give you 11 energy! That’s more than Aphrodite’s wand (which gave 10) and less than the Winter Wonder pack wand (which gave 12).

However, this new wand is tricky to craft! It has many new reagents. The Revered Crafting quests have new kinds of reagents you’ll need to find:

  • Flying Squid Ink (A reagent you can get as a drop in combat in Empyrea)
  • Shiny Scales (A reagent you can only find in fishing chests)
  • Participation Trophy (A reagent you can purchase with 800 arena tickets in the pet pavilion – or from the chests of daily assigments)
  • Aether Ore (A rare reagent you can get from picking up Aethyr Dust as a ground spawn item in the Spiral)
  • Shocked Key (A reagent you can only find within silver chests)

Crafting Recipe Vendor

You can use your crafting badge to craft housing items and some new interesting gear. The gear requires Legendary crafting rank, while the majority of the housing items require the new Revered crafting rank. Go visit Loligo in Aeriel Shores. Loligo also sells the Transmure Aethyr Ore recipe!

What do you think of the new reagents?
Are they too hard to get?

I was REALLY looking forward to seeing the crafted gear that KI said they would add to Polaris and Mirage, but it was nowhere to be seen. Oh well, at least the Empyrea crafted gear will make up for this, right? WRONG. The Empyrea crafted gear is such a joke, and I’m not even kidding when I say you can find better dropped Zafaria gear in the bazaar. There is still almost no gear variation at all in the upper levels, and I was really hoping that the Fall Update would fix this.

I’m also a crowns player, not a member, so it looks like I have no way of getting 5000 arena tickets per character unless I want to spend crowns. Since there’s no reason to even become a Revered Crafter, as all the new crafted gear is bad stats-wise, I guess I’m going to remain at Champion.

  • wizhead #429879

whoever designed that crafted gear…i want to have what he is smoking, please

  • cactusflinthead

Ok, sounds like there is no better motivation than getting a new badge to force myself to go fishing. Yeah, I think I will pass.

  • Hemi Toma

i hate thing silver chest never was any good at them ugh

  • Hemi Toma

waste of time -crowns as usual

  • Show the Stats

This is what the new crafted wands have compared to the level 120 crafted wands
    +11 energy
    +5% fishing luck
    +2% damage
    +110 pip conversion

  • Sierra

Hopefully they lower the arena tickets needed to something more reasonable, its early in test yet!

  • Thegeekwithcats

    A) I hate PVP and don’t do pet derby…so guess which reagent I will NEVER be able to get. Dailies? yeah…don’t like those either and the ticket drop rate is far too low to make it worth this. I am not going to be FORCED into PVP to get the crafted items. thanks.
    B) What are they ON and how can I get some. Why would I do all that work for the stats on that gear?

  • James Abraham Kitner

I hope kings isle changes the requirement for the participation trophy. You need 1000 arena tickets to get one. That means i have to pet derby and or pvp and i do not want to do either. one is all but pointless and the other is filled with mean people

    • Sierra

A lot of people feel the same so hopefully they will lower it to a more reasonable amount!

  • Sierra

Last update many were displeased that the crafting quest was just talking, perhaps there is a happy medium here though, I still have hope test is new!

    • James Abraham Kitner

I am hoping they get rid of the Trophy all together. I do not want to pvp or pet derby. I do not want to play against other players. If i do have to allot of players are going to be upset and matches ruined because i will not know what i am doing

      • Mora Misthead

You can do daily assignments too! But getting enough tickets would currently take you like 10 years of daily assignments, so I do hope they lower the requirements significantly xD

      • Sierra

I am sure there are people who feel the same way about fishing! KI had something in mind with this, what I don’t know.

        • James Abraham Kitner

I have a very dark idea that this is just the begging of a shadowy path for those of us who do not pvp and or pet derby. The next level of crafting may require a reagent that you can only get if you are pet sergeant, or a pvp sergeant, or even both. The logical path to follow that the highest crafting levels would want you to be pet warlord and a pvp warlord. Then there is the nightmare that we could be required to play every game in the pet area well enough to earn badges for those skills. I am fine with grumpy goblers and the maze game. The target practice meh the ninja game i got level one but after that i am toast. As for the dance game forget about it. And the drop game where you catch things that fall out of the sky, I do not even have the faintest idea how to play it.

          Think shadows people think shadows.

How about being able to buy a special Ingredient with 500 Tickets(PVP) or farm for that Ingredient(no PVP).
Say for example Loremaster drops that new ingredient, giving non PVP’ers a place to farm for it.
Had higher hopes for drops and crafted gear, at least at the lKR level drops and crafting.
Current gear drops are bad, usually equivalent to Level 56 or worse, only good for pet food, or gold.
I hope the current crafting gear is just a “placeholder”, it is NOT level appropriate gear for where were at,
Who ever does crafting stuff for KI needs to looks at darkmoor (non-graveyard) gear as a starting base.
KR had some good crafted gear but was (missing pip chance), if they just added that, it would be good start.

  • sonicflare9

    did it disappear

  • Ana Perez

I hate PvP (elitist and mean) and my pets are far from pet derby worthy. That said, I would definitely PvP for arena tickets, if they had a crafter’s PvP where you had to remove all treasure cards, boosted gear and pets. In other words, fight each other only with unicorn way basic gear. I’d be willing to give that a shot. Plus it sounds like fun.

    • Sierra

Try classic tournaments, its no pets, no amulets, no TCs, you might even like it! I really enjoy those on my myth especially.

Last place will net you 250 tickets, 1st 1250, so worth a try no?

      • 250 tickets = like 700 crowns (last time I seen the price). My opinion – it’s not worth it.

  • Chris

Yes and this will be the end of my crafting, i am NOT going to PVP just to craft, I also do NOT like those chests, it is totally unfair period!!

    • Sierra

I think this one was meant to be more of a long term goal as opposed to the usual quests we just mash through! Taken bit by bit its not awful, though i still think they can lower some of them!

  • nobody posted

please make a guide about the new and improved empyrea crafted gear (hat, robe, boots)

they are not “awful” , they are actually REALLY GOOD

    • Sierra

Until the update, which was yesterday, it was pretty bad! What a difference a day makes, eh?

  • nobody

i dont think they should add reagents that you can only get one way (such as only by fishing), let alone one that actually costs money (the one that requires tickets). really hope they change that…

    • Blaze MeOut

a lot of reagents in the game are only accessed one way so this isn’t anything new to the game

  • I say the Participation Trophy is going to be hard for me to get. I am not pvper and not very good at it 🙁 I hope it gets lower; would be fair.

Plus I really thinking that they are pushing it for the crafting and having people do that part which costs crowns/membership. :/

  • Michael Wittig

This is beyond stupid. I have no words that can describe what Im feeling right now. Im about to quit this game for good. Kingsisle done bad things in the past to both there main games and community but this is the WORST they have ever done. Making things more of a challenge is fine, forcing there own players/customers to do something they dont want is NOT. Who even came up with this ridicules idea of making arena tickets a reagent for a main quest??? KI, if one of you read this -> change it IMMEDIATELY!

    • Cody RavenTamer

Revered crafting is completely optional. It’s just an alternative for wizards who don’t wanna farm the big bosses like those at the Sands of Time.

  • Zachary Dragon

I do kinda agree the new reagents are hard to get, but it’s not like they are gonna be for everything. It’s not like we still use diamonds much. Plus it’s kinda smart to implement actual nice rewards for stuff like fishing and pvp and silver chests that other people enjoy and do regularly. You only need a couple shiny scales for the wands. Silver chests are pretty much everywhere and they only take a couple seconds, minutes at most, to play. Not to mention tourneys are a pretty nice and quick way to gather tons of tickets either if you win or lose. It’s not the end of the world when you go out of your comfort zone guys. I personally hate fishing and pvp, I have really bad luck when it comes to this stuff. Just find a friend to do a tourney. If you don’t even want do this stuff just ignore these crafts, it’s not like they’re main quests.

  • a

can anyone who has crafted the wands tell me if they are no trade? and can i craft one of them on an off school character?

    • Cody RavenTamer

The weapons don’t have the ‘No Trade’ label on them as you can see above, however I’m not sure whether you can craft off school ones. I would naturally assume yes.

  • Blobfish the Normal

Ok, all these comments make me laugh. The update is really great. You guys want something more of a challenge, then you complain about it?

The community’s downfall is to the people like these comments.

“WHAT??? I HAVE TO ACTUALLY WORK FOR THE BEST GEAR????”

    Yes….you do.

Anyone, these weapons are great, and more of challenge, and are great to tackle.

Also, people have gotten scales from the bazaar, and have gotten shocked keys from key limes.

  • Joyce Barnhardt-Rodgers

I think it is ridiculous that we cannot remove the crafting quests from our book. I won’t be bothering with the last craft as some of the items needed can only be obtained from PVP or fishing (which I hate) They should give other options for obtaining the items.
